Network Team Lead (Cisco/Arista)

Location: London Area, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Salary: £150,000 base plus discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Lead the operational performance, stability, availability, and continuous improvement of datacentre, WAN, and campus networks.
• Provide technical leadership across network operations and incident response, including investigation and resolution of critical incidents.
• Drive network automation with Python, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Improve monitoring, telemetry, alerting, and network observability.
• Develop operational tooling, runbooks, and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with Network Security and Infrastructure Engineering on architecture, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance optimisation.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.
• Experience across datacentre, WAN, and campus networking.
• Strong Cisco or Arista experience.
• Excellent knowledge of L2/L3 networking, BGP, and EVPN-VXLAN.
• Experience with firewalls, load balancers, proxies, network observability, Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, or CI/CD.
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills, with previous experience leading engineers, projects, or a technical function.
