Senior Network Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid with weekly time in the office. Occasional travel may be required, and the role supports multiple jurisdictions including EMEA, USA, and APAC.

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 USD annually, depending on experience and relevant certification.

What you will do

• Translate business, availability, performance, and regulatory requirements into network architectures and technical designs.
• Create high-level designs showing logical architecture and traffic flow.
• Define scalable, resilient, simple, and standardized network design principles.
• Design and deploy low-latency customer networks with automation, security, and operational reliability.
• Evaluate vendors, platforms, and protocols for long-term suitability.
• Handle escalated customer issues, project tickets, configuration changes, and change-control activities.

Requirements

• 10–14 years of experience working with network equipment in an ISP-style environment or large NOC.
• 7–10 years of experience with Fortinet, Arista, and/or Cisco hardware and software.
• CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Expertise in IP protocols, firewalls and VPNs, BGP, OSPF, multicast routing, NAT, network analysis, NTP, PTP, and network timing.
• Ability to diagnose problems, lead system recovery, manage workload independently, and communicate clearly.
• Scripting experience with Bash or Python, familiarity with Linux, and understanding of JIRA.
