Avionics Technician (I, II, III or Senior) (Spacecraft Avionics): Building, integrating, testing, and repairing avionics hardware and harnesses for autonomous spacecraft with an accent on flight computers, RF components, PCB assemblies, and cable systems. Focus on spacecraft system integration, continuity and environmental testing, board-level troubleshooting, and validating hardware for flight readiness and production.
Location: Onsite near Long Beach, California, United States
Salary: $26.50–$36/hour for Technician I, $31.50–$41.50/hour for Technician II, $36–$50.50/hour for Technician III, and $43.50–$60/hour for Senior Technician.

What you will do
- Build, install, inspect, and test avionics hardware, including flight computers, sensors, RF components, power distribution units, and harnesses.
- Fabricate and install wire harnesses and cable assemblies with correct routing, shielding, strain relief, continuity, and workmanship.
- Integrate avionics components and subsystems into spacecraft structures with engineering and quality teams.
- Conduct continuity, hi-pot, RF link, functional, and environmental testing using GSE and automated test equipment.
- Assemble, inspect, rework, and repair PCB assemblies, including soldering, component placement, conformal coating, and board-level troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Technical degree or certification in avionics, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience assembling, integrating, and testing aerospace avionics systems appropriate to the technician level.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Experience working with ESD-sensitive equipment, FOD-critical processes, and cleanroom operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lift 25 pounds, and operate in constrained or confined spaces.
- Must be located near Long Beach, California, and must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required ITAR authorizations.
Nice to have
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
- Spacecraft or launch vehicle avionics integration experience.
- Familiarity with automated test equipment and GSE operation.
- RF systems assembly and testing experience.
