Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Provide shift-based online support for continuous production lines and maintain equipment performance against quality, yield, cost, utilization, and cycle-time targets.
• Monitor and report machine status and issues to engineering leaders and engineers.
• Perform final product conversion tests and maintain 6S standards to support smooth production.
• Support the technical team in reducing machine downtime and improving MTBA and MTBF.
• Follow up on engineering projects, train operators on machine operation, and manage spare-part issuance, replacement, and tracking records.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Assy DA equipment, TOP equipment, and related processes.
• Ability to handle machine alarms, analyze issues, generate reports, and perform troubleshooting.
• Working English and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine and tooling routine preventive maintenance.
• Experience checking shift machine status and performing device changes.
• Good follow-up on quality issues and engineering projects.
