Engineering Manager (Growth)

What you will do

• Lead a Growth pod of approximately 6–10 engineers and QA across frontend, backend, and integrations.
• Own the public API as a product, including the V3 overhaul, V2 support, versioning, reliability, and observability.
• Bring client onboarding and verification in-house by replacing third-party tooling and building jurisdiction- and segment-aware KYB/KYC rules.
• Own activation surfaces including digital signatures, onboarding checklists, lifecycle communications, and notification preferences.
• Partner with Brand Design on the marketing site and with Product, GTM, Compliance, Legal, Platform, Payments, Banking, and Client Trading.
• Run discovery, solution design, RFC validation, delivery, and beta processes while managing dependencies, hiring, performance, and team development.

Requirements

• At least 2 years managing a full team of 5 or more, including a Tech Lead or senior individual contributor, alongside a strong individual contributor background.
• Ability to remain hands-on: design APIs, model schemas, write idiomatic tested code, review designs, debug production issues, and ship implementations.
• Experience owning a public or partner-facing API, including versioning and operating old and new major versions simultaneously.
• Experience delivering client-facing products end to end, including migrations, deprecations, and error handling.
• Experience working with Compliance and Legal as core delivery dependencies, plus hiring, performance management, Product, and commercial or GTM functions.
• Ability to shape ambiguous initiatives, run stage-gated product development, and enforce correctness across identity, compliance, permissions, idempotency, and financial calculations.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated domain.
• Production experience with KYB/KYC, vendor replacement, jurisdiction-aware policy engines, or enterprise and partner onboarding.
• Developer experience with API documentation, SDKs, sandboxes, webhooks, or developer funnels.
• Experience with activation, lifecycle communications, marketing-site growth experiments, funnel analytics, or instrumentation.
