Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid position based in the San Francisco office, with in-person attendance three days per week. Remote days follow core business hours. Occasional off-site or on-site events may occur.

Salary: $192,000–$288,000 annual salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the core Home experience in the React Native mobile application.
• Partner with product, design, data, backend, and platform teams to map funnels, identify drop-offs, and prioritize experiments.
• Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, observability, testing, and overall mobile product quality.
• Refine the server-driven UI architecture, including APIs, configuration models, and guardrails.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests, feature flags, event instrumentation, layouts, recommendations, and calls to action.
• Set the Home pod’s technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team improvements across sessions and care plans.

Requirements

• 4+ years of practical software engineering experience building and shipping user-facing production applications.
• 2+ years of hands-on React Native experience building mobile applications at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, React Native, and modern mobile development tooling.
• Experience with server-driven or configuration-driven UI and experimentation on core product surfaces.
• Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with product, design, and data or analytics partners.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with backend services such as Node/TypeScript or GraphQL.
• Experience in healthcare, consumer applications, or regulated and data-sensitive environments.
