Staff Mobile Engineer (React Native)

hirify.global is a startup developing hardware and software solutions that give users greater insight into and control over their homes’ energy systems.

What you will do

• Set the technical direction and evolve the architecture of hirify.global’s mobile applications.
• Design, implement, and test features in React Native applications.
• Establish strong practices around code quality, tooling, monitoring, and test-driven development.
• Partner with product and design on mobile product strategy, shared components, and execution.
• Integrate mobile applications with firmware and backend systems supporting hirify.global’s hardware product.
• Improve quality systems and deployment reliability with QA and Platform Infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping user-facing applications for large audiences.
• 5+ years of mobile application or React web development experience, with React Native preferred.
• Strong TypeScript experience.
• Strong test-driven development practices.
• Experience working with design on shared components and a design ecosystem.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, feature flagging, testing, deployments, and outcomes-oriented collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in the energy industry or with IoT devices.
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf.
• Experience maintaining monorepo projects.
