Software Engineer III Frontend (React Native)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $145,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Own frontend feature development from technical design through delivery, breaking complex UI and interaction flows into deliverable components.
• Build clean, performant, well-tested mobile experiences with TypeScript and React Native.
• Contribute to architectural decisions involving component patterns, state management, navigation, and performance optimization.
• Improve app performance, accessibility, code quality, developer experience, and documentation.
• Guide junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA, participate in on-call rotation, and contribute to root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building React or React Native applications.
• Advanced TypeScript and strong React Native proficiency, including component lifecycle, hooks, performance optimization, and native module integration.
• Experience with Expo, state management, complex navigation patterns, and mobile-specific performance and memory concerns.
• Testing experience with Jest and familiarity with Maestro or similar end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Expo/EAS workflows, app store releases, and over-the-air updates.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools.
• Experience in a remote engineering organization.
• Experience with reactive UIs, WebSockets, live scoring, animations, haptics, and second-screen experiences.
• Experience or interest in real-time financial visualizations for fantasy sports or prediction markets.
