Sr. Mobile Engineer I (Flutter)

Location: Chicago, IL; not open to remote candidates. Hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 USD annually, plus a 12% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Own the full feature lifecycle, including debugging, documentation, testing, release, and monitoring.
• Contribute to mobile architecture, technical roadmaps, frameworks, and tooling.
• Design and implement maintainable Flutter solutions using state management, dependency injection, and reactive programming.
• Participate in architecture reviews and optimize performance across iOS and Android devices.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and crash analytics to strengthen product reliability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams and mentor engineers while promoting technical excellence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of production experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, BLoC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with unit, widget, integration, and end-to-end testing for Flutter applications.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and offline data handling.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, reliability, user experience, OOP principles, communication, and agile teamwork.

Nice to have

• Native iOS integration with Swift and Android integration with Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with fintech or trading platforms.
• Contributions to open-source frameworks or SDKs.
