Staff Engineer, Contamination Control

What you will do

• Lead the contamination control engineering team and improve cleanliness performance across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and continuously improve contamination control strategies, standards, procedures, monitoring programs, specifications, and control plans.
• Lead root cause investigations for contamination excursions, customer complaints, yield losses, and reliability issues using 8D, FMEA, Fishbone, SPC, and related methodologies.
• Manage projects involving cleanroom optimization, process and equipment qualification, filtration systems, chemical contamination controls, and particle reduction.
• Analyze contamination data and performance trends, then present technical reports, business cases, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor engineers and technicians while collaborating with global and cross-functional teams to deploy best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in semiconductor, HDD, electronics manufacturing, cleanroom operations, medical devices, advanced manufacturing, or a related industry.
• 3–5 years of supervisory, team leadership, or people management experience.
• Experience with contamination control, cleanliness engineering, yield improvement, process engineering, or quality engineering.
• Knowledge of particle and molecular contamination, cleanroom technologies, contamination monitoring, statistical analysis, reliability engineering, risk assessment, and FMEA.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects and organizational improvement initiatives.
