Salary: $209.5K–$303.2K USD annually for the Bay Area, California.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a high-performing software IP engineering organization comprising managers, technical leads, and individual contributors.
• Define organizational objectives, hiring plans, technical strategy, and execution priorities aligned with business goals.
• Set the roadmap and oversee development of reusable, scalable software IP, libraries, frameworks, and platform technologies.
• Guide architecture reviews and delivery of solutions for embedded processing, AI/ML acceleration, networking, DSP, security, connectivity, and system management.
• Partner with product management, FPGA architecture, silicon engineering, validation, applications, strategic customers, and partners.
• Own execution, quality, schedules, resource planning, engineering metrics, CI/CD infrastructure, and validation across distributed teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, FPGA development, semiconductor technologies, or related technical domains.
• 6+ years of engineering leadership experience managing large, geographically distributed organizations.
• Experience developing software platforms, frameworks, middleware, SDKs, drivers, or IP solutions and delivering complex products at scale.
• Deep understanding of FPGA technologies, embedded systems, and hardware/software co-design, with strong communication and executive leadership skills.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGA IP, embedded software, device drivers, firmware, or acceleration frameworks.
• Knowledge of Quartus, FPGA design flows, RTL development, verification methodologies, and FPGA system integration.
• Background in AI/ML acceleration, networking, communications, DSP, embedded systems, or data center technologies.
• Experience building FPGA software ecosystems and familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, and modern software engineering processes.
• Strong semiconductor industry experience in FPGA, ASIC, EDA, or related markets.
