Director, Systems Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Relocation is not eligible. Travel is required 50% of the time.

Salary: $196,000–$269,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead a systems engineering group responsible for complete engineering programs, including design, development, implementation, budgets, and release schedules.
• Develop long-range engineering plans, product strategies, and engineering specifications.
• Anticipate future engineering needs and introduce new design and development approaches.
• Provide approval guidelines and strategic leadership to engineering managers.
• Align engineering programs, strategies, and processes with business group objectives.
• Define performance metrics, report progress, and engage internal and external customers on product engineering issues.

Requirements

• Broad and comprehensive understanding of systems engineering theories, practices, and methods.
• Broad industry and commercial awareness applied to financial and operational performance.
• Experience leading through subordinate managers of managers and contributing to functional strategy.
• Ability to direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems using advanced analytical judgment.
• Ability to negotiate and influence senior executives and external organizations.
