FAE - Field Applications Engineer (Reference Design Engineer)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day

Annual base salary: $75,000–$166,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Own the development and lifecycle management of MCU/MPU-based reference designs.
• Create, review, and update schematics, PCB layouts, block diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Develop or adapt embedded software for reference designs using embedded C.
• Develop, publish, and maintain technically accurate web content for reference designs.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, product management, and regional applications teams.
• Track reference design projects and customer opportunities in Salesforce while managing multiple deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of design experience with microcontroller- or microprocessor-based embedded systems.
• At least 5 years of experience with 8- and 32-bit embedded C programming.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer and Siemens Xpedition.
• Practical experience using AI tools or AI-assisted engineering solutions.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills, organization, multitasking, and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or an equivalent web content management solution.
• Familiarity with block diagram tools.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Service Console.
