Senior Manager, Construction (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Requires 4–5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings, events, and travel as needed.

Salary: $150,000–$181,250 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Build and manage a team of construction project managers delivering multi-site automotive retail and service programs.
• Lead facility renovations, expansions, ground-up construction, rebrands, EV infrastructure upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Manage portfolio schedules, program budgets, rollout strategies, procurement, contracts, bids, invoices, and change orders.
• Coordinate Real Estate, Architecture, Preconstruction, Operations, IT, Security, EHS, contractors, architects, engineers, and equipment vendors.
• Oversee site inspections, specialized equipment installation, quality and safety compliance, punch lists, warranty walks, and facility turnover.
• Standardize prototype facility processes and mitigate permitting, site condition, supply chain, schedule, and compliance risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and at least 12 years of construction management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, permitting, cost management, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering, and accounting principles.
• Experience managing high-volume, multi-site rollout programs across diverse geographic regions.
• Working knowledge of service shop design, automotive retail operations, lifts, oil/water separators, EV charging infrastructure, and related automotive systems.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
