Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite first-shift work in Buffalo, NY and East Aurora, NY. Travel to suppliers may be required up to 15%.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Track Supplier Quality Development milestones, audits, Part Risk Assessments, PPAP completion, and problem resolution activities.
• Coordinate Make-to-Buy, Buy-to-Buy, New Product Introduction, and problem-part processes.
• Manage and improve PRA and PPAP processes, documentation, and compliance.
• Assign risk assessments to Manufacturing Engineers based on supplier ownership and expertise.
• Support suppliers, perform backup Manufacturing Engineering tasks, and resolve production and quality issues.
• Provide project updates to Supplier Contract Program Managers and other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• At least 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience and 2 years of Project Management experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects with Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process qualification, APQP, PPAP, and Part Risk Assessments.
• Analytical problem-solving skills using Six Sigma and Shainin Red-X methodologies.
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, and Minitab, plus strong communication and organizational skills.
