What you will do

  • Own the program management function across the new product development portfolio.
  • Build and lead a program management team, including hiring 1–2 additional program managers or TPMs in the first year.
  • Drive programs through development gates, production ramp, first deployments, and post-launch field monitoring.
  • Own the stage-gate SOP, gate calendar, gate packages, integrated schedules, and program risk management.
  • Maintain requirements traceability, specifications of record, and change control for each program.
  • Publish a reliable portfolio status view for the executive team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of program management experience with physical products, including hardware or hardware-software products.
  • 3+ years of hiring, leading, and developing program managers or TPMs.
  • Experience building or substantially growing a program management team and defining its roles.
  • Experience running an end-to-end stage-gate NPD process through production release on a shipped product.
  • Experience managing production ramp, early field issues, and feedback from field operations into engineering.
  • Ability to build integrated master schedules and technical fluency in electromechanical or software product development.

Nice to have

  • Background in robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Experience establishing a PMO from scratch.
  • Government or defense program experience.
  • Experience with requirements and program management tools.
