Technical Writer II

Location: Remote / work from home

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for products, services, and processes.
• Translate complex technical information into manuals, guides, help files, white papers, and training materials.
• Develop and maintain technical documents, plans, procedures, reports, and deliverable packages.
• Coordinate content contributions from engineers, product developers, and subject-matter experts.
• Update documentation as products evolve and ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
• Apply document-control, quality, industry, and regulatory standards before submission.

Requirements

• Secret security clearance required before starting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
• Experience with documentation tools and familiarity with XML, DITA, or other markup languages.
• Knowledge of graphics and publishing software.
• Technical-writing certification such as CPTC, Microsoft Office Specialist, or an equivalent certification is applicable.
