Company

hirify.global develops AI-driven autonomous scientific systems and laboratory instruments for accelerating discovery across medicine, materials, and energy.

What you will do

  • Conduct rheological, thermal, chemical, and mechanical characterization of formulations and polymer-based specimens, including tensile, peel, and shear testing.
  • Perform wet-lab formulation and materials characterization for coatings, solutions, adhesives, paints, and elastic materials.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, electrolytes, test specimens, and consumables for continuous experiments across shifts.
  • Follow SOPs, monitor workflow performance, troubleshoot common issues, and escalate problems when needed.
  • Record and organize experimental data, flag unusual results for scientist review, and identify process-efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on projects across life sciences and physical sciences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • At least one year of industrial bench-top or wet-lab experience with characterization, mechanical testing, pipetting, chemical handling, and solution and sample preparation.
  • Hands-on peel and shear testing experience is required.
  • Experience characterizing, synthesizing, and testing coatings, solutions, adhesives, paints, elastic materials, or similar materials.
  • Experience handling and disposing of acids and bases, working in fume hoods, and handling powders.
  • Experience in high-throughput production environments, with strong attention to detail, organization, scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with materials processing, tensile or tack testing, high-temperature testing, rheology, TGA/DSC, IR spectroscopy, polymer systems, SAXS/WAXS, DLS/SLS, optical microscopy, or elemental analysis.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for centrifuges, pipettes, ovens, chemical handlers, glove boxes, and pumps.
  • Experience with automated workflows and creating custom scripts.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time U.S. employees receive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Benefits include employer-paid life and disability insurance, flexible time off, company-wide holidays, and paid parental leave.
  • Educational assistance, commuter benefits including bike-share memberships for office-based employees, and a subsidized lunch program are provided.
  • Early-stage equity and bonus potential are available.
  • The role operates in a dynamic, shift-based research operations environment.
