Legal Operations (Fintech)

Location: In-person at the Presidio-based office in San Francisco, 3–4 days per week

Salary: $180,000–$235,000 annual US base salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Assess Legal’s current operations and build a modern operating model with intake SLAs, approval gates, cross-functional handoffs, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• Audit legal tools and create a technology roadmap covering intake and workflow, CLM, e-billing, knowledge management, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Design and build AI-assisted and agentic workflows, dashboards, playbooks, redlining tools, and databases using the Bank’s tools.
• Own legal intake, triage, contract routing, templates, repositories, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
• Maintain playbooks, briefs, templates, documentation, retention processes, and training materials as a reliable source of truth.
• Manage outside counsel operations, billing guidelines, legal budgets, spend audits, vendor selection, and performance management with Finance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of legal operations experience at a high-growth technology company or financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with CLM systems, knowledge management, and outside counsel management.
• Strong data and analytics skills, including building dashboards and leadership metrics.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Engineering, and Growth and drive adoption without direct authority.
• Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, escalation, and accountability skills.
• Builder’s mentality with an AI-native, first-principles approach and willingness to work hands-on.
