Legal Operations Director

Location: United States

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Streamline legal operations and establish scalable workflows for contract management, outside counsel management, litigation support, knowledge management, entity management, IP protection, and legal support.
• Administer legal technology platforms, including e-billing, contract lifecycle management, legal intake, and related systems.
• Partner with the General Counsel on short- and long-term legal operations plans.
• Develop cost-saving strategies and optimize outside counsel engagement while maintaining high-quality support.
• Analyze legal department metrics and KPIs through reports and dashboards, then implement improvements.
• Oversee daily legal department operations, system performance, service levels, compliance, and user satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–7 years of experience in an in-house legal operations role.
• Experience using AI-powered tools and platforms to improve productivity, automate workflows, and solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Required experience with Ironclad, Brightflag, and ClickUp.
