People Business Partner (Corporate Services)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week, based at the GravityWorks factory in Long Beach, California. Occasional travel to Colorado Springs and Centennial, Colorado. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.

Salary: $115,000–$170,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with leaders across Finance, Legal, Business Development, and Mission Readiness on organizational design, workforce strategy, talent planning, and leadership development.
• Advise managers on performance management, succession planning, career development, and professional development pathways for non-technical roles.
• Manage low-to-moderate complexity employee relations cases, conduct investigations, and support consistent resolutions.
• Support compensation cycles through market benchmarking, data analysis, and partnership with the Compensation Manager.
• Analyze engagement, attrition, and performance data to identify risks and provide insights for executive reviews.
• Support capability building, learning priorities, restructures, workforce planning, and other organizational change initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3–4 or more years in a Business Partner or strategic HR role.
• Experience supporting corporate functions such as Finance, Legal, Operations, Business Development, or professional services.
• Strong experience in performance management, talent planning, employee relations, and compensation support.
• Ability to build credibility with operationally focused leaders, work independently, manage ambiguity, and balance competing priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must be able to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance and satisfy applicable U.S. space technology export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
