Senior People Partner, Tech

Location: New York, New York, United States or San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid work model for office-based teams.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$180,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with technical leaders on organizational design, team structure, leveling, promotions, and compensation decisions.
• Own complex employee relations and performance situations, including performance management, role transitions, and exits.
• Improve manager capability across the technical organization through stronger feedback and talent decisions.
• Partner with Talent on technical role design, leveling frameworks, hiring quality, and evaluation practices.
• Identify risks and friction in people processes and build scalable solutions with Legal, Total Rewards, and Finance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People Partnering or HRBP roles.
• Substantial experience partnering directly with engineering or technical organizations.
• Experience influencing senior technical leaders on organizational design, performance, and talent decisions.
• Strong employee relations judgment and experience resolving complex, high-stakes situations.
• Experience with compensation, promotion, and leveling decisions in technical environments.
• Experience supporting globally distributed technical teams and navigating international employment complexity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with engineering career frameworks and compensation models.
• Experience building people systems in a scaling AI-native or deep-tech company.
• SPHR or comparable certification.
• Experience improving compliance-focused programs and reducing organizational risk.
