Director, Accounting – TV Networks HQ Central

Location: Hybrid in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States; generally requires working from the office at least three days per week. The role is based at hirify.global’s CNBC headquarters and may require an in-person interview.

Salary: USD 135,000–160,000 yearly, plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage accounting and governance for the Central Services Agreement between hirify.global and NBCUniversal, including shared services for advertising sales, TV content distribution, and transition service arrangements.
• Lead accounting for the Content Distribution business, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, subscriber audits, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end close, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and reporting for the Central Accounting team.
• Oversee accounting for cross-brand transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Technical Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Controllership, Treasury, Legal, Accounting Operations, FP&A, Tax, Technology, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Lead process improvement, standardization, documentation, automation, ERP implementation, internal controls, and scalable accounting transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility within a complex organization.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge covering financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, balance sheet governance, and SOX.
• Ability to interpret contracts and translate key terms into accounting treatment and reporting requirements.
• Strong project management, communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced close environment with competing priorities and evolving business needs.
• Ability to lead through influence, build relationships, and support team development.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, completeness, process documentation, and process discipline.

Nice to have

• Big Four or similar public accounting experience and/or public company experience.
• Experience in media, entertainment, advertising sales, content distribution, licensing, or other complex revenue environments.
• Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, and reconciliation or close-management platforms.
