Strategic Finance Lead (Fintech)

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 estimated base salary per year

What you will do

• Own the operating model, 18-month budget, monthly forecasting, and reporting for the founders and board.
• Manage treasury operations across multiple bank accounts, credit facilities, covenants, liquidity planning, and a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast.
• Lead commercial negotiations for vendor contracts and banking or payment-processing partnerships.
• Develop product-level unit economics, analyze interchange dynamics, and manage margins across card and payment products.
• Support future fundraising activities, including investor materials, data rooms, and analysis.
• Drive an AI-first finance function by identifying workflows for automation and using finance agents effectively.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in finance, ideally including investment banking, private equity, or management consulting followed by strategic finance or FP&A experience at a startup.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including clean driver-based models and the ability to explain and defend every number.
• Experience with or exposure to vendor, partner, or banking negotiations.
• Ability to own ambiguous workstreams end to end without direct reports.
• Daily use of AI tools such as Claude and a clear perspective on finance automation.
• Fintech experience with card programs, sponsor banks, or payments economics is useful but not required.
