General Manager (Coffee)

Location: Boston, United States; onsite store operations

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annual

What you will do

• Lead, train, coach, mentor, and motivate the store team while building strong engagement and culture.
• Recruit talent with the People Team and oversee the quality and timing of team training and coffee accreditations.
• Create store schedules, cover staffing gaps, and approve timecards and paid time off in accordance with state and local labor laws.
• Maintain food and beverage quality, recipe consistency, safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
• Own ordering, vendor relationships, waste management, inventory counts, and inventory-system compliance.
• Drive sales, average order value, peak throughput, audit performance, and local brand loyalty while spending 50–70% of the week behind the bar.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store operations in a high-growth hospitality or consumer brand.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing hospitality teams.
• Experience with inventory management and supply-chain ordering.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso, and equipment.
• Strong decision-making, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Full-time availability for 45 hours per week, with five days of availability and two peak days, usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
