Director of Communications (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco headquarters, California

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 annually, plus equity

hirify.global is building a search engine for the AI era, with a Search API used by agents, Fortune 500 companies, and AI labs.

What you will do

• Develop and express the public points of view of hirify.global's founders and executives through essays, posts, op-eds, interviews, and social content.
• Ghostwrite technically substantive content at a high volume and maintain the editorial calendar.
• Build and manage a pipeline of conferences, podcasts, panels, and other industry opportunities, including speaker preparation and coaching.
• Own media strategy, launch coverage, press relationships, messaging discipline, and the external communications agency.
• Lead the company’s social presence and coordinate employee engagement to amplify engineering work.
• Create announcement and crisis-communications playbooks, including escalation paths, holding statements, spokesperson preparation, and rapid response.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in communications, PR, or editorial roles, including experience inside a high-growth technology company.
• Exceptional writing and ghostwriting skills, with samples created for another person's byline.
• Demonstrated success building an executive's public profile and social following.
• Proven technology or enterprise press results and experience securing and preparing speakers for meaningful industry placements.
• Experience managing communications agencies and handling at least one genuinely difficult public moment.
• Technical literacy sufficient to write credibly about AI, search, and infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Journalism or editorial background.
• Experience in AI, developer tools, or deep technology, with relevant reporter relationships.
• Analyst relations experience and experience building an in-house communications function.
• Experience producing video, podcasts, or event formats.
