Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: NYC Office, New York City

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 estimated annual base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Build and ship mobile features across payments, banking, KYC, and authentication flows.
• Work with product, design, and backend teams to translate designs into production code.
• Define frontend patterns, tooling, and processes that improve quality and delivery speed.
• Own observability and testing for core mobile flows and prevent regressions.
• Evolve the design system and component library for consistency at scale.
• Partner with leadership on architecture decisions and the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript.
• Experience shipping and maintaining iOS and Android apps through the App Store and Google Play.
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, testing, and mobile performance.
• Production experience with GraphQL.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another regulated, high-uptime environment.
• Comfort with secrets management, CI/CD pipelines, pre-commit hooks, and automated code review.

Nice to have

• Experience with KYC, remittances, or payment flows.
• Familiarity with Expo managed and bare workflow trade-offs.
• Experience with mobile observability tooling such as Datadog.
