Energetics Technician I - 2nd Shift

Location: Onsite in Penrose, CO and Pueblo, CO; second shift Monday–Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m. MDT

What you will do

• Assemble and process energetic components and rocket hardware according to work instructions and travelers.
• Operate and maintain standard production and mixing equipment under supervision.
• Handle explosive materials while following safety, environmental, and explosive ordnance protocols.
• Record production data, inspection results, and material traceability information under ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.
• Perform visual inspections and basic measurements using calipers, scales, and gauges.
• Support housekeeping, preventive maintenance, calibration checks, and reporting of safety or nonconforming conditions.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work the specified second shift onsite.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturing documentation and written instructions in controlled or explosive environments.
• Basic computer and data-entry proficiency, including Word, Excel, or an ERP system.
• High school diploma or equivalent, strong teamwork and communication skills, and disciplined adherence to safety procedures.
• Must be at least 21, pass drug and background checks, obtain explosives licenses, and qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or energetics.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma.
