Energetics Operator II

Location: Onsite in Penrose, CO and Pueblo, CO, United States

Salary: $24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate production lines and machines independently while meeting safety, quality, and throughput targets.
• Perform in-process inspections, use scales and gauges, and document quality results.
• Support equipment setups, tooling, changeovers, and basic parameter adjustments.
• Maintain production, quality, and downtime records in logs or ERP/MES systems.
• Train and mentor Operator I employees and participate in cross-training and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety, 5S, housekeeping, PPE, and hazardous-environment requirements.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of hazardous material handling and explosive safety principles.
• Experience operating mechanical or automated production equipment and following complex production documentation.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures, basic measuring tools, and production records.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and reliability in hazardous environments.
• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to obtain and maintain state and federal explosives licenses.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background checks, and meet U.S. Person and ITAR/EAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
