Solution Engineer - West Coast (Observability): Supporting complex technical sales cycles by delivering product demonstrations, managing proofs of concept, and building solutions for cloud-native observability with an accent on Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and log and metric data integrations. Focus on solving customer infrastructure challenges, translating technical needs into product improvements, and presenting observability solutions to developer-focused audiences.
Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office. Must be available to work during EST hours.

What you will do
- Partner with account executives to plan, prepare, and execute complex technical sales cycles.
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that explain product capabilities and customer value.
- Manage the technical aspects of sales cycles, including proofs of concept and proofs of value.
- Build solutions that address product gaps and enhance the core offering.
- Communicate customer needs to product teams and contribute to future product improvements.
- Engage with developer communities through Slack channels, conferences, meetups, podcasts, and livestreams.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States and available to work during EST hours.
- At least 3 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- At least 2 years of observability experience, including commercial platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or Coralogix, and open-source tools such as Elastic, Loki, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of Docker, containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Fluentd/Fluent Bit, and log and metric data integrations.
- Customer-facing communication skills, including the ability to engage audiences and lead presentations or remote sessions.
- Consultative and analytical approach to identifying and solving infrastructure and operational challenges.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline; a science or engineering degree is preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
