Vehicle Technical Program Manager (Electric Vehicles)

Location: Palo Alto, United States; on-site

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Lead vehicle programs through new product introduction, launch, and sustaining phases.
• Manage integration of powertrain, connectivity, chassis, and other major vehicle subsystems.
• Develop program schedules, manage technical issues and design releases, and coordinate resource needs.
• Manage factory acceptance and production builds with contract manufacturing partners and define objectives for subsystem builds.
• Drive resolution of program blockers, technical trade-offs, validation plans, pilots, and field trials.
• Communicate program progress to stakeholders and leadership while managing critical paths and adapting lean processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in program management, product management, engineering, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Experience taking consumer electronics, vehicles, or similar hardware products from concept through launch.
• Experience with design releases, validation test plans, build execution, and supply chain management.
• Proficiency with program management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Agile, or Arena.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed and communicate effectively with executives, engineers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
