Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (Automotive)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid office work arrangement

Salary: $184,000–$253,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Drive engineering teams in developing project plans, monitoring schedules, documenting agreements and meeting minutes, and closing action items.
• Coordinate software releases and engineering change requests.
• Lead multiple simultaneous programs and develop mitigation plans when challenges arise.
• Present project reports and status updates to cross-functional teams, partners, and customers.
• Identify solutions to complex technical and organizational issues across projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of Technical Program Management experience leading complex software releases.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile project management.
• Ability to manage projects from initiation through completion while communicating with cross-functional teams and partners.
• Technical background and engineering methodology for prioritizing and solving complex problems.
• Experience leading large, complex programs through ambiguity and rapid change.
• Experience with embedded software, cloud networking, TCP/IP-based products, or the automotive industry.

Nice to have

• Technical background in networking, automotive infrastructure, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Excel, or similar tools.
• Experience with automotive design review and audit processes, including ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, or ASIL standards.
