Project Engineer (L3) Composites

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States. Due to export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum in the United States.

What you will do

• Own composite component and tooling projects from concept through prototype and production.
• Interface with customers to gather requirements, create estimates, and collaborate on designs.
• Lead project planning and design review meetings across multiple departments.
• Generate CAD models, drawings, ply kits, lamination instructions, material specifications, and bills of materials.
• Define project timelines, monitor costs, and provide manufacturing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, aeronautical, or another engineering field.
• 6+ years of experience in composite component design and manufacturing; aerospace experience is preferred.
• Strong project management, scoping, scheduling, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with mold design, design for manufacturing, fixturing, and work instruction development.
• High-level proficiency with SolidWorks or similar solid and surface modeling software, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with ERP systems, workflows, and ISO/AS environments.
• Must meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements.
