Payments Performance Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Riga, Latvia; hybrid

Salary: from €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience and expertise

Payment service provider and payment gateway delivering card acquiring, alternative payment methods, anti-fraud solutions, analytics and reporting, and mass payout services.

What you will do

• Analyze performance across payment channels, methods, and partners to identify key drivers behind changes.
• Own and monitor approval rates, conversion rates, transaction costs, and other payment performance metrics.
• Identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and performance gaps before they affect the business.
• Build and maintain dashboards, analytical models, and reports.
• Investigate performance changes and provide actionable optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Compliance to translate insights into business actions.

Requirements

• Hands-on data analysis experience, ideally in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or another transaction-heavy industry.
• Strong SQL skills for independently extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including analytical modeling.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Understanding of PSPs, acquiring, card schemes, payment methods, APMs, routing, and payment partner performance.
• Fluent English and Russian required for daily communication.
