Software Engineers (AI)

Location: San Francisco, hybrid

Salary: $135,000–$170,000 base annually, plus equity and bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Build and scale the Hilbert AI Portal for Fortune 10 operators.
• Develop streaming, multi-turn, and human-in-the-loop interfaces for AI Agents.
• Design backend services and state management for long-running, non-deterministic AI interactions.
• Build enterprise customization and packaging systems supporting different authentication methods and customer infrastructure.
• Create internal tooling and admin panels for monitoring, configuring, and debugging AI/ML models.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and AI/ML Engineers to connect model outputs with user actions.

Requirements

• Full-stack experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React, and MongoDB.
• Experience building streaming and stateful interfaces for LLM-powered chats or AI agents.
• Experience with Nx or similar monorepo and shared-library tools.
• Understanding of API contracts, containerization, Kubernetes, modularity, and enterprise security.
• Experience building internal tools that improve engineering productivity.
• Understanding of software requirements for passing a SOC 2 audit.
