Director, IT Business Applications (ERP)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 annually

What you will do

• Own the strategic roadmap and day-to-day management of global business applications, including IFS/ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, EDI, SCM/Adexa, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Optimize and scale enterprise systems while maintaining data integrity, application governance, system security, audit readiness, and SOX compliance.
• Partner with Finance, Sales and Marketing, Product Lines, HR, Legal, and Procurement to deliver scalable business solutions.
• Lead and mentor IT Managers, Senior IT Engineers, and System Administrators while coordinating global support with the Asia IT team.
• Manage platform assessments, vendor evaluations, RFPs, contract negotiations, and technical leadership for ERP implementation programs.
• Drive process redesign, automation, integration, change management, and adoption of AI-enabled technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing enterprise applications, preferably in the high-tech industry.
• 5+ years of experience building, leading, managing, developing, and mentoring direct reports.
• Hands-on ERP experience with IFS, Oracle, or SAP is required; experience with project management, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, EDI, SCM/Adexa, and Power BI is preferred.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process optimization, workflow automation, SOX controls, audits, governance, vendor selection, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
• Strong communication, analytical, stakeholder-management, collaboration, adaptability, and user-experience skills; ability to travel as required.
