IT Business Application Engineer (ERP/CRM/MES)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and document configurations, customizations, and scripts across ERP, CRM, BI, ECM, and MES platforms.
• Develop and maintain integrations and automated workflows using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and AI-assisted tools.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by managing test environments, resolving technical defects, and validating go-live readiness.
• Analyze application incidents and performance issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate application lifecycle activities, including releases, upgrades, patches, regression testing, vendors, and IT teams.
• Maintain architecture overviews, interface specifications, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Professional experience developing, configuring, and integrating enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or MES, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in REST/SOAP API development, scripting, and complex SQL queries and data manipulation.
• Strong understanding of IT architectures, data models, application integration patterns, middleware, and integration technologies.
• Familiarity with Git, DevOps and deployment procedures, and agile or hybrid project environments using Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent English and knowledge of German and/or Italian required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI-assisted development and automation tools.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
