Solution Engineer - East Coast (Observability)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office; must be available to work during EST hours

What you will do

• Partner with account executives to plan and execute complex technical sales cycles.
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that communicate the platform’s value and differentiation.
• Manage technical aspects of the sales cycle, including proofs of concept and proofs of value.
• Translate customer needs into feedback and enhancement ideas for product teams.
• Build solutions that fill product gaps and support successful customer outcomes.
• Represent the product in Slack communities, conferences, meetups, podcasts, and livestreams while contributing to go-to-market improvements.

Requirements

• Must be located and available to work during EST hours.
• At least 3 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.
• At least 2 years of observability experience with commercial platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Sumo Logic, and Coralogix, plus open-source tools such as Elastic, Loki, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of Docker, containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, FluentD/Fluent Bit, and log and metric data integrations.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, including the ability to engage audiences and command a room or video call.
• Consultative and analytical approach to identifying and solving infrastructure challenges; bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline preferred.
