Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician - 2nd Shift (m/f/d) (Wind Turbine Electrical Assembly): Installing and wiring electrical systems in wind turbine nacelles and hubs with an accent on control panels, sensors, harnesses, and electrical testing. Focus on interpreting schematics, troubleshooting connectivity issues, meeting production benchmarks, and maintaining strict safety standards.

Location: West Branch, Iowa, United States. Onsite, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

What you will do

  • Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
  • Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, control panels, and related systems.
  • Use multimeters and other testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
  • Read work instructions, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams while meeting production and quality requirements.
  • Work with engineering and quality teams on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Handle materials, support mechanical assembly activities, and maintain a clean and safe production area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
  • Experience with wind turbine, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
  • Electrical certifications or technical training; willingness to obtain required safety certifications.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and ability to obtain and maintain required crane operator certification.
  • Fluent spoken and understood English is required for safety communication, instructions, and collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with crimping tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality Systems.
