Legal Associate (Asociado Legal) - Bogotá (Hybrid)

Location: Bogotá, Colombia — hybrid work with regular office attendance expected, especially during ramp-up or when required by the leader.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and organize contracts, NDAs, and corporate documentation.
• Provide legal support to Sales, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams.
• Support compliance with Colombian regulations, including data protection and AML frameworks.
• Manage communications and deadlines with the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia with support from senior counsel.
• Assist with administrative requests, legal notifications, and pre-litigation matters.
• Maintain legal files and records and collaborate with the global Legal team on LatAm standards and policies.

Requirements

• Law degree and license to practice in Colombia.
• 1–3 years of experience in corporate, commercial, or financial law.
• Working proficiency in Spanish and English.
• High attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
• Interest in regulatory compliance, data protection, and cross-functional legal support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Colombian financial regulation and AML laws.
• Experience in a startup, fintech, or technology environment.
• Experience with Slack or Google Drive.
• Basic knowledge of GDPR or similar data privacy frameworks.
• Basic Portuguese proficiency or willingness to learn.
