Paralegal - 1482 - Colombia

Location: Colombia; fully remote. Preferred location: Latin America. Working hours: 9 am–5 pm EST.

Salary: USD 1,200–1,600 per month.

Support a US-based criminal defense law firm focused on professional, responsive, and client-centered legal representation.

What you will do

• Prepare background legal materials, draft basic legal documents, and compile case files.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, and related schedules with opposing counsel, judicial officers, and court staff.
• Track court dockets, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements.
• Organize, review, and redact legal documents and evidence for upcoming proceedings.
• Maintain accurate case management records, client files, and calendars.
• Communicate with internal legal teams and court personnel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal.
• US law firm experience is required.
• Experience with court scheduling, deposition coordination, and docket management.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Deep understanding of US legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.
• Experience with Filevine, Clio, or similar legal case management systems; strong organization, discretion, reliability, and attention to detail.

• Experience supporting US criminal law matters.
• Criminal law experience.
