TL;DR
Legal Assistant (Personal Injury Settlements): Supporting US personal injury case resolutions through lien tracking, financial record review, settlement documentation, and client disbursement coordination with an accent on numerical accuracy and confidential case administration. Location: Fully remote; preferred location: Latin America. Working hours: 9 am–5 pm EST. US federal holidays apply.
Salary: $800–$1,200 per month.

What you will do
- Review case expenses, settlement statements, and financial records.
- Track liens, balances, provider negotiations, and client disbursements.
- Maintain settlement documentation in CloudLex and shared folders.
- Coordinate payments, invoices, deposits, and wire transfers.
- Identify financial discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
- Handle settlement-related inquiries from attorneys, staff, and vendors.
Requirements
- US law firm experience is mandatory.
- 1–3 years of settlement coordination experience.
- Knowledge of settlements, liens, and case resolution processes.
- Experience with CloudLex, QuickBooks, Excel, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organization, communication, and time management.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work independently in a remote environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in personal injury law.
- Accounting or numbers background.
