Compliance Officer

What you will do

• Draft, update, and enforce compliance policies across finance, HR, IT, and operations departments.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify exposure and recommend controls.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Develop and deliver training programs to foster a culture of compliance and awareness.
• Lead internal investigations into compliance issues and document findings for corrective action.
• Prepare and present compliance dashboards and risk summaries to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
• Proficiency with compliance monitoring and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of at least one regulatory framework (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Must be based in Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Brazil, or Mexico.
• Ability to work U.S. client business hours.

Nice to have

• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
• Experience in finance, healthcare, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks like COSO or ISO 31000.
