Cafe Manager (Specialty Coffee)

Location: New York City, US; onsite cafe operations in Brooklyn

What you will do

• Lead the cafe team through training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Create staff schedules in compliance with state and local labor laws, and manage timecards and paid time off requests.
• Recruit talent with the People Team and ensure training and coffee accreditations meet company standards.
• Maintain specialty coffee, food, beverage, safety, cleanliness, and customer experience standards.
• Own ordering, vendor relations, waste management, inventory counts, and inventory system compliance.
• Drive store sales, average order value, team engagement, local brand loyalty, and audit performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store operations in high-growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing hospitality teams.
• Experience with inventory management and supply chain ordering.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso, and equipment is required.
• Strong decision-making, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Full-time availability for 45 hours per week, with 5 days of availability and 2 peak days, usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
