Team Lead Robotics Service Technician

What you will do

• Hire, develop, and lead a team of Robotics Service and Maintenance Technicians.
• Drive robot uptime by planning maintenance schedules, repair workflows, and spare parts inventory.
• Serve as the final technical authority on complex assembly issues and hardware failures.
• Define and enforce assembly quality standards across all shifts.
• Provide structured feedback to the mechanical design team based on recurring field issues.
• Develop SOPs, assembly documentation, and onboarding materials to ensure team scalability.
• Lead technicians during customer site installations and trade fair commissioning.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, mechatronics technician, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in prototype construction or assembly of complex mechanical systems.
• 2+ years of experience as a team lead, senior technician, or shift supervisor.
• Deep understanding of mechanical assemblies, actuators, joints, and machine components.
• Confident reading of technical drawings.
• Experience in robotics, automation, or special-machine construction.
• Strong communication skills in German and/or English.
• Willingness to travel for customer installations and commissioning.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with actuators, gear systems, or mechatronic assemblies.
• Background in writing or improving assembly SOPs and maintenance documentation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic topics such as wiring and sensors.
