Lead NetOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote - Ukraine

What you will do

• Design and lead complex network solutions across data centers, remote sites, and hybrid cloud environments using AWS and GCP.
• Build secure networking solutions involving firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, BGP, and hybrid data center connectivity.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation for multi-vendor platforms including FortiGate, Aruba, and Juniper.
• Triage and resolve complex production incidents, participate in the on-call rotation, and provide senior-level escalation support.
• Maintain infrastructure health, performance, and security using observability tools such as Datadog.
• Shape technical roadmaps, lead design reviews, and mentor and coach engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• At least 5 years of network administration experience and at least 3 years of cloud networking experience across AWS, GCP, and hybrid data center connectivity.
• Experience architecting, building, and scaling complex network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba switching, FortiGate firewalls, BGP, routing, switching, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, Git-based workflows, GitOps, Python, and Bash.
• Experience with Datadog and AI-assisted engineering tools including Claude, Codex, and Gemini; strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
