Staff Engineer - Cloud Networks

Location: Hybrid role based in Boston, Massachusetts; Denver, Colorado; or New York, New York, USA

Salary: $244,000–$305,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate multi-region cloud network infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Neoclouds.
• Own scalable, secure, and reliable connectivity between clouds, customers, and developers.
• Set technical direction for data center expansion and network evolution while maintaining stability and performance.
• Improve cross-site and cross-region connectivity patterns for the platform.
• Investigate latency, packet loss, and connectivity failures using packet capture and path analysis, escalating issues to cloud providers when needed.
• Deliver network efficiency and cost-saving improvements.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in networking, including BGP, route policies, path selection, and prefix advertisement.
• Substantial experience designing and operating large-scale software-defined networks and interconnected environments.
• Strong software development skills and a code-first approach to network operations.
• Experience operating production infrastructure and responding to incidents, including on-call ownership where applicable.
• Ability to own ambiguous problems, set technical direction, and collaborate across distributed teams.
