AWS Data Movement Engineer (AWS)

Location: Full remote, Warsaw, Poland

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable data movement and storage solutions.
• Configure and administer SMB/CIFS and NFS file storage environments.
• Develop and support Amazon S3 and other AWS storage services, including performance, availability, and reliability management.
• Configure access controls, encryption, lifecycle policies, and other storage security measures.
• Troubleshoot storage, networking, and data transfer issues and automate operational tasks with scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams while maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Storage Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Hands-on administration experience with SMB/CIFS, NFS, and Amazon S3, including buckets, lifecycle policies, encryption, and access management.
• Understanding of AWS IAM, cloud storage concepts, TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing storage performance, with scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon EFS, FSx, EBS, AWS Storage Gateway, or enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Isilon, or Pure Storage.
• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• AWS or storage-related certifications.
