Manager of Pulp Drying Automation Team (m/f/d) (Automation, Electrification, Instrumentation): Leading and developing a pulp drying automation engineering team while managing project execution, resource allocation, internal processes, product delivery, and sales support with an accent on industrial AEI engineering and pulp-industry systems. Focus on coordinating complex investment projects, improving team productivity and competitiveness, resolving quality issues, and guiding digitalization across a global organization.

Location: Graz, Styria, Austria; office-based with a home office option

Salary: €4,630.71 gross per month minimum; market-based salary depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the pulp drying automation engineering team in alignment with product and organizational strategy.
  • Manage team budgets, resource allocation, and engineering and site resources for projects.
  • Improve team functions, productivity, competitiveness, internal processes, and delivered products.
  • Oversee AEI-related project execution, project reviews, engineering reviews, and quality issue resolution.
  • Prepare competitive AEI engineering cost estimates for sales projects and support sales activities.
  • Collaborate with hirify.global entities and companies while advancing digitalization initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in automation, electrification, instrumentation, or industrial project engineering and management.
  • Degree in Automation, Electrification, or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of AEI within the pulp industry and proven experience leading complex investment projects.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and people development capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and German is required; both are working languages.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide teams to meet deadlines.
