Energy Modeling Consultant (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Arizona, United States; must be located in or willing to relocate to South, Central, or North Arizona within 30 days of acceptance. Hybrid field and remote office role with local travel of up to 25–75% and overall travel of up to 50%.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus a potential discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Review in-home energy audit data, project inputs, and recommendations for quality assurance.
• Refine and calibrate energy models to meet BPI requirements.
• Finalize equipment selections with customers, generate work orders, collect signatures, and complete required documentation.
• Conduct onsite assessments and field inspections, prepare inspection reports, and recommend remedies for failed inspections.
• Develop energy audit protocols, QA/QC requirements, implementation plans, and continuous improvement solutions.
• Generate performance reports and collaborate with program operations, IT, marketing, customer service, contractors, clients, and program managers.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to work in the United States are required.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required for local travel.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, consulting, energy efficiency, or utility work.
• Knowledge of building science, construction, and related technical practices.
• Experience with energy auditing, energy modeling or data analysis, and project management.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• BPI Building Analyst and Envelope certifications; willingness to obtain them within the required timeframe is expected.
• Home Energy Score certification.
• HERS and RESNET Rater certification.
• SnuggPro experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite and CRM proficiency.
